Fishing Information

It’s that time of the year again so mark your calendars for the Bronzeback tournament. It is Sunday June 25th from 7 am to 1 pm. BBQ and prizes at 2 pm. New this year there will be someone at the boat launch available for weighing in your record catches from 10 am - 1 pm. Also those fishing with kayaks, canoes or fishing from the shore will launch at Mohawk Marina as well. We also need a couple volunteers to help with the BBQ. The Bronzeback team will be holding its first meeting February 27th at 7:30 pm in the banquet room. We are looking for volunteers to help plan and run the event scheduled for June 25th. The team will plan prizes and how the event is run. Even if you don’t fish but want to get involved and meet other club members, you can help out the day of the event at the boat launch, weigh in or BBQ. This is a great club event - lets make it better, together!

We would also like to thank Mohawk Valley Marine for the use of their boat launch and Jason Lockwood for helping us at the BBQ. We had over 45 participants in 16 boats and 4 people in the Kayak division that braved the heat in the tournament this year.

This was the first year for Pat and myself running the tournament. We had some great suggestions for next year that we will use going forward. Remember this is a fun club event for family and friends and anyone that wants to help out is welcome even if you don’t want to fish but want to help in planning and meet some great people.
