In-Person Hunter Education Course (Gun)

All registration will be through  the DEC website (https://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/92267.html#Hunter).

Registration will open 30 days PRIOR to the August 13th start date of this course.

There is a "homework requirement for this course. The "Student Manual AND the Homework Sheets", can be found and downloaded from the DEC website.  Complete the homework and bring the completed homework to the course.  The completed homework is your entrance pass to the course.  Without it, you will be denied entrance (DEC Requirement).

This is a full day course.

Students, under the age 16, are encouraged to register and ask their parent, and/or the family member they will be hunting with during the hunting season, to this course.  Refer to the DEC Course announcement.  Download the "Permission Slip".  Have your parent/guardian complete the Permission Slip and bring it to the course.
